H. Myron Stine, 91

H. Myron Stine, 91, of 234 Stine Road Danville PA passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at his residence.  He was born March 24, 1920 in West Hemlock Township, Montour County, PA the son of the late Harry F. and Hannah W. Shellenberger Stine. 

He graduated from Styers One Room Schoolhouse, Kitchen Road, Danville PA.  Mr. Stine was a self-employed dairy farmer in West Hemlock Township, Montour County. His farm was known as a century farm as it was farmed by his family for 100 years. He served for 40 years as the West Hemlock Township Supervisor.  He was a member of Mahoning Presbyterian Church Danville PA where he served as Elder.   His other memberships included the Montour DeLong Fair, the Montour Conservation office and the California Grange 941.  Mr. Stine’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family.

He was married to Martha E. Styer Stine who preceded him in death September 8, 1996.  They were married for 50 years.  Surviving is one son, Jay D. Stine of Danville PA and two grandchildren, Jonathan Stine and his wife Brenda of Danville PA and Tracy Laudman and her husband Joe of Pattersonville PA.  He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; Shaye, Nathan and Cassandra.  In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his son, Ray M. Stine in 1994 and one brother, Robert C. Stine in 2004.  Also surviving are nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Adrian J. Shearer officiating.  Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 9:00 AM until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made Geisinger Hospice 100 Academy Drive MC-11 Danville PA  17822.  www.visneski.com
