Steven W. Buck

Steven W. Buck, 59, of 213 North 11th Street Lewisburg PA passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at his residence.  He was born August 17, 1952 at Scott Airfield Base in Belleville, Illinois the son of Virginia A. Evans Davis of Danville PA and the late Warren F. Buck, Jr. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1970.  He retired from Danville State Hospital where he was employed as an aide.  Mr. Buck was also employed as a car salesman by area automobile dealers.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Milton PA.  An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies, Dallas Cowboys, and Penn State wrestling and football.  Mr. Buck also faithfully followed local high school sports teams.  He was well known by his family and friends for his sense of humor and his infectious laugh. 

 In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters; Marisa Joy Buck of Cypress, Texas and Rebecca Marquardt of Narlton, New Jersey and three grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers; Larry E. Davis and his wife Maxine of Danville PA and Roger W. Buck and his wife Betty of Danville PA.  He is also survived by three sisters; Susan Bartges and her husband Scott of Danville PA, Carol Ann Buck of Danville PA and Laura Martz and her husband Mark of Berwick PA.  His stepfather, Stanley E. Davis of Danville PA also survives him.  He is also survived by two nephews; Alec and Bryce Buck and two nieces; Stephanie Long and Allison McKeown.  He was preceded in death by his stepmother Coramay Buck. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Mahoning Presbyterian Church East Mahoning and Ferry Streets Danville PA with the Reverend Stephen G. Shirk officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 PM at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Danville Ironmen Basketball Booster Club 130 Cherokee Road Danville PA 17821.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com.
