E. Ted Snyder, 83

August 31, 2011

E. Ted Snyder, 83, formerly of Danville PA went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, August 28, 2011.  He was born March 8, 1928 in Danville PA the son of the late Edward G. and Emma C. Forney Snyder. 

He graduated from Danville High School.  Mr. Snyder was employed as an attendant at Danville State Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1976. 

He attended First Baptist Church of Danville PA where a picture he painted of the old First Baptist Church on Pine Street in Danville still remains in the foyer.  He also painted a large mural for the nursery there.  In addition to painting, Ted loved reading his Bible.  His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter Kimberly.

He survived by three daughters; Kathy, Diane and Melissa.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; John, Glenn and Robert Snyder and four sisters; Mary, Vivian, Gladys and Lorraine.   

Private graveside services were held in Fairview Cemetery Danville PA with the Reverend David J. Mouw officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
