Christopher M. Fox

March 21 ,2011

Christopher M. Fox, 25, of 406 West Valley Avenue Elysburg, PA passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011.  He was born August 21, 1985 in Danville, PA the son of Patricia B. Hunter Fox with whom he resided and the late Joseph W. Fox who passed away March 3, 2009. 

Chris graduated from Southern Columbia High School in 2003. He graduated from Penn College in Williamsport, PA in 2006 with a degree in Computer Information Systems where he was a member of the fraternity Sigma Pi.   He was employed by Atlantic Equipment Specialists Inc. Danville, PA.  He was a member of the Elysburg Presbyterian Church who participated in the church’s youth group.  The group took mission trips to the Carolinas to rebuild the homes of those in need.   

Chris was an avid sports enthusiast that included hunting, fishing, soccer, basketball and he especially enjoyed Sunday Night Basketball at the Ralpho Township Gymnasium.  He enjoyed traveling and was always willing to help others.  One of Chris’s greatest enjoyments was off-roading with friends in his Jeep.  He also spent numerous hours fixing vehicles, computers, and things around the homes of others.

 In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Michael J. Fox and his girlfriend Pamela Carey, both of Wilkes-Barre, PA and one sister, Kathryn “Katie” E. Fox at home.

He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Flora Hontz of Almedia, PA and one aunt, Joanne E. Fox of Danville, PA.  Also surviving are two uncles; Thomas Hunter and his wife Charlotte of Winfield, PA and Robert Hunter and his wife Nancy of Colorado and also cousins of the Cullen, Fleming, and Helfrick families of Allensville, PA. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville, PA.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ralpho Township Gymnasium C/o  The Recreation Committee 206 South Market Street Suite 1 Elysburg, PA  17824.  www.visneski.com
