Richard Billings Bunnell

Richard Billings Bunnell, P.E., 87, of Riverside PA passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center  Danville  PA.  He was born June 20, 1922 in Brooklyn NY the son of the late Cecil A and Lucile (Billings) Bunnell of Cranford NJ. 

Richard served in WWII for over three years as a Tech Sergeant in charge of Radio Reconnaissance Group in the European and Pacific Theatres and in the Reserve.

As an instrument engineer, he worked on oil refineries and atomic energy plants in Argentina and Canada as well as six states in the United States.  Richard was employed by the Bechtel Corporation at the time of his retirement. 

He was an avid traveler and also enjoyed boating, flying and Ham Radio W2LQR.

 He was the devoted husband of Eris-Marie Bronander Aiello Bunnell who survives him.  Also surviving are two stepsons; Gabriel S. Aiello, III and Peter R. Aiello and six step-grandchildren. 

Richard was a member of Grove Presbyterian Church Danville PA.  His memberships also included Danville Kiwanis, Instrument Society of American, SAR Society, National Society of Magna Charta-Dames&Barons, EAA, and ARRL. 

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grove Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund 330 Bloom Street  Danville PA 17821.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  ww.visneski.com
