Lewis Domer Temple

March 8, 2010

Lewis Domer Temple, 81, of 309 Pine Street Danville PA died Monday, March 8, 2010 at his residence.  He was born March 16, 1928 in Danville PA the son of the late Clayton M. and Lucy B. Riley Temple. 

He served in the United States Navy on the USS Missouri. Mr. Temple was employed at TRW Danville PA for 38 years and was also employed at Textron Danville PA from where he retired.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Danville PA.  

Mr. Temple loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.  He was an avid motorcyclist.   

He was married for 58 years to Sarah Agnes (Hain) Temple who preceded him in death on January 2, 2007.  They were married March 14, 1949. 

He is survived by two daughters; Mary Lynn Kitka and her husband Steven and Sherry Louise Derr and her husband Robert Edward; both of Danville PA and four sons; William Edward Temple and his wife Theresa (Pegg); Barry Allen Temple, Sr. and his wife Victoria (Snyder); David Scott Temple, Sr. and his wife Connie Bomboy ;all of Danville PA and Robert Lewis Temple, Sr. and his wife Debbie (Hawley) of Belleville NJ.  Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren along with two brothers; Edward Temple and Clayton “Reds “Temple; both of Danville PA and two sisters; Barbara Zimmerman of Lewisburg PA and Patricia Broadt of Atlas PA.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one grandson Patrick Casey Temple of Sunbury PA and one granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Temple. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Friday, March 12, 2010  at 1:00 PM from the Trinity Lutheran Church  215 E Market Street Danville PA with his pastor the Reverend Michael A. Greenauer officiating.  Burial will follow in Elan Memorial Park Bloomsburg PA.  Friends will be received Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church 215 E Market Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
