Pfister, 61, of 60 Beaver Place Danville PA died Thursday, August 12, 2010
at his residence. He was born May 5, 1949 in the Bronx, NY the son of the
late John G. and Mary McGowan Pfister.
graduated from Fordham Preparatory School and Fordham College in the Bronx
NY with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and English. Mr. Pfister
worked in the telecommunications field. He started his own company which
was then bought out by Bell Atlantic. He owned a bed and breakfast in
Roscoe NY where he provided fly fishing and hunting guide services. Mr.
Pfister suffered from multiple sclerosis since his early 30ís. During his
healthy years his enjoyments were many. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fly
fishing, hunting and hiking. He also enjoyed playing music on several
instruments including guitar, flute, saxophone, harmonica and the penny
whistle, all of which were self-taught.
survived by two daughters; Jessica M. Horton and her husband Scott of
Montrose NY and Morgan A. Daugherty and her husband David of Rochester Mills
PA. Also surviving are two grandsons; Colin Horton and Nathaniel
Daugherty. He is also survived by his cousin who was like a sister,
Patricia McGowan of Pearl River NY.
Georgeís request, funeral services and burial will be private at the
