Wilma Mae "Billie" Thomas

Wilma Mae “Billie” Thomas, 80, formerly of 743 E Market Street Danville PA passed away Thursday morning, February 25, 2010 at Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville PA.  She was born June 11, 1929 in Northumberland PA. 

Billie graduated from Northumberland High School.  She was employed at the Danville High School Cafeteria and for many years as a medical secretary by Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA from where she retired.   

Mrs. Thomas was a member of First Baptist Church Danville PA where she was a member of the Senior Choir and frequently sang beautiful solos at many services.  She thoroughly enjoyed baking, cooking and gardening and spent many hours doing crossword puzzles. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.   

She was married for 58 years to the late Donald K. Thomas who passed away on March 10, 2008.  They were married February 26, 1950. 

 She is survived by three sons; David D. Thomas and his wife Elaine; Edward A. Thomas and his wife Carla and Dennis A. Thomas and his wife Sharon; all of Danville PA and one daughter, Donna K. Thomas of Aldan PA.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren; Daniel, Laura and Seth.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church 20 Brookside Drive Danville PA with the Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating assisted by the Reverend Dawes Dunham. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
