Mary, in her earlier years, worked at Geisinger Medical Center.  She was in the first class of Nurse’s Aides at Geisinger, achieving top honors in her class.  Mary worked in the Children’s Ward during the polio epidemic.

She is survived by her husband, Myron L. Keller with whom she would have observed their 58th wedding anniversary on March 29th.  Also surviving is a daughter: Diane K. Hackett, her husband, Barry Hackett, and grandson, Jeremy S. Hackett of Bloomsburg, PA.  Her sons:  Larry L. Keller and his wife, Arla Billig Keller of Bloomsburg, PA; and Bradley E. Geringer and his wife, Martie Geringer of Danville, PA; and two nephews and eight nieces.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert E. Burger and George L. Burger and one sister, Jane Burger Nevius.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at St. James United Church of Christ, 2507 Bloom Road, Danville, PA with her pastor the Reverend Richard Shearer officiating.  Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville, PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the church prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to St. James United Church of Christ, 2507 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.
