Betty E. "Sis" Sabol

Betty E. “Sis” Sabol, 70, of 2467 Snydertown Road Danville PA passed away Saturday evening, October 23, 2010 at her residence.  She was born August 11, 1940 in Danville PA the daughter of the late John T. and Mary E. Bogart Erlston. 

She attended Danville schools.  Betty was employed as a machine operator by the Danville Silk Mill and as a nurse’s aide at Maria Joseph Manor Danville PA. Betty served faithfully as a volunteer at Abigail’s Attic in Danville and enjoyed reading and playing Bingo.  Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family.   

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank R. Sabol whom she married August 12, 1961.  Also surviving is one son, Frank R. Sabol, Jr. and his wife Dawnette of Danville PA and three daughters; Theresa L. “Terry” Long and her husband David of Springtown PA, Donna M. Summers and her husband Michael of Danville PA and Beth Ann Fox and her husband Chad of Danville PA.  Also surviving are five grandchildren; Justin, Jasmine, Jolene, Autumn and Paige.  She is also survived by three brothers; Robert “Bob” Erlston, Charles “Chas” Erlston and Donald “Donnie” Erlston; all of Danville PA.  She was preceded in death by three brothers; John “Cork” Erlston, Frank Erlston and Lawrence “Tiny” Erlston.  Several nieces and nephews also survive her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Michael A. Greenauer Trinity Lutheran Church Danville PA officiating.  Burial will be private.  Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be Geisinger Hospice 100 Academy Drive MC-11 Danville PA  17822.  www.visneski.com
