Marr P. Reinake, 95

Marr P. Reinaker, 95, of 107 Kaseville Road Danville PA where he had resided since 1955 died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Bloomsburg Health Care Center Bloomsburg PA.  He was born January 9, 1914 in Riverside PA the son of the late Harry E. and Elizabeth M. Patton Reinaker.

He served as a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II and was in the Battle of the Bulge.   He was employed at Danville State Hospital as a Farm Foreman for 33 years where he retired.  Mr. Reinaker was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ Danville PA for 50 years.  He was a member of East End Fire Company and a life member of Danville American Legion Post 40.  Mr. Reinaker enjoyed gardening and growing fruit trees.

He was married 51 years to the late Elizabeth C. “Betty” Leighow Reinaker who died June 12, 1993.   He is survived by one son Robert M. Reinaker.  He is survived by two brothers; Harry E. “Elmer” Reinaker, Jr. and Earl F. Reinaker, both of Danville PA.   He was preceded in death by four brothers; Harold, Bruce, William and C. Donald Reinaker and two sisters; Margaret Holdren and Vera Morgan.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his good friend, Lucille Fasold.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh United Church of Christ 500 Bloom Street Danville PA with the Reverend David R. Schnaars officiating.  Burial will follow in Straub’s Lutheran Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.  Military rites will be accorded by the Montour County Veteran’s Association.  Memorial contributions may be made to either Columbia-Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17814 or Shiloh United Church of Christ Building Fund.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com.
