Julius Kutcher, 93

Julius C. Kutcher, 93, of 115 Oak Street Danville PA where he had resided since 1958, moving from Rahway NJ, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his residence.  He was born May 24, 1916 in Rahway NJ the son of the late Gilman and Elizabeth Dobos Kucsera. 

He graduated from Rahway High School in 1936.  He served with the United States Army during World War II as a sergeant with combat engineers.  Mr. Kutcher was employed by Merck and Company  in Rahway NJ from 1942 until 1958 and in Riverside PA from 1958 until his retirement in 1978 as a shift supervisor.

He was a member of Grove Presbyterian Church Danville PA for 51 years where he served as Financial Secretary.  He was a member of the Deacon and Trustee Boards, a member of the Session and on the Visitation Committee.  He was a member of the Danville Elks.  Mr. Kutcher enjoyed gardening, woodworking.  He also enjoyed collecting seashells and making them into lamps.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with friends and his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary M. Keuscher Kutcher whom he married April 20, 1940.  Also surviving is one son, Mark D. Kutcher and his wife Terry of Riverside PA and one daughter, Sharman D. Olshan and her husband David of Amherst NY.  He is also survived by four grandchildren; Julia, Mary, Vanessa and Aaron and one great-grandson, Justin. 

He is also survived by one brother Eugene Kutcher of Rahway NJ.  He was preceded in death by two brothers; Gilman and John Kutcher and one sister Helen Kutcher.  Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Monday, December 21, 2009 at Noon from the Grove Presbyterian Church 330 Bloom Street Danville PA with the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews officiating.  Burial will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge NJ.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 11:45 PM in the Great Room at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grove Presbyterian Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
