Emma E. Wolverton, 88

Emma E. Wolverton, 88, formerly of 410 Bloom Street Danville PA passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville PA where she has been a guest since June 2006.  She was born September 7, 1920 in Danville PA the daughter of the late Harry and Mae Morgan Pritchard. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1938.  She was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ Danville PA.  Mrs. Wolverton was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 186 Danville PA.  She was employed by Keefer’s Department Store in Danville and was employed for 15 years in the Accounting Department at TRW in Danville PA, where she retired.  Her enjoyments included knitting, crocheting and ceramics. 

Mrs. Wolverton is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert S. Wolverton whom she married July 31, 1940.  Also surviving is one daughter Judy I. Stuck and her husband Howard J. of O’Fallon, Missouri.  She is also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.   She is also survived by one brother, William Pritchard of Danville PA and one sister, Phyllis Vannan of Angola-by-the-Sea, Delaware.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Pritchard and one sister Dorothy Huber.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Emma’s Life on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at Shiloh United Church of Christ 500 Bloom Street Danville PA with the Reverend David R. Schnaars officiating.  Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church.  A committal service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at Odd Fellows Cemetery Bloom Road Danville PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Montour Unit 1948 E 3rd Street Williamsport PA  17701-3945.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
