Elaine Mueller, 84

September 29, 2009

Mrs. Elaine Mueller, 84, a longtime Bloomsburg PA resident passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 following a stroke which occurred September 25, 2009. 

She was a former Bloomsburg Middle School teacher for 20 years.  She was active with the local Red Cross, the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Mrs. Mueller served in the United States Navy where she met her husband, the late Joseph E. Mueller.  She achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bloomsburg State College in 1969 and later received a Reading Specialist Certificate.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Mueller Hagner of Mesa AZ and her son Jay Mueller of Mammoth Lakes CA.  Also surviving are her two grandsons; Benjamin Joseph Hagner, 21, and Daniel Lee Hagner, 19, both of Mesa AZ.

A Private Service will be held at The Mesa City Cemetery in Mesa Arizona.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations  be made to the Bloomsburg Children Museum 2 W 7th Street Bloomsburg PA  17815.
