Terry L. Kelly

Terry L. Kelly, 63, of 768 Water Street Northumberland PA passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  He was born September 14, 1946 in Danville PA the son of the late Charles H. “Cy’ and Ida A. Teitsworth Kelly. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1965.  Terry served as a cook in the United States Army.  He retired from the PPL Electric Generating Plant in Washingtonville PA.  He attended Independent Bible Church of Northumberland PA where he was a great friend to many serving on the Activities Committee.   

Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved to cook.  He was active with the Northumberland Good News Club teaching young children how to fish.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandkids.   

He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Diane E. Clayberger Kelly on April 13, 2003.  He is survived by one son, Scott T. Kelly and his wife Deborah of Brockway PA and one daughter, Heather J. Andrusis and her husband Gerald, Jr. of Danville PA.  Also surviving are five grandchildren; Ashley, Dakota, April, Kayla and Nathan and one great-granddaughter, April.  He is also survived by his wife of 4 ˝ years, Betty J. Noecker Gemberling Kelly and her sons; Chris Gemberling of Freeburg PA and Jeffrey E. Gemberling of Sunbury PA and his children; Keisha, Autum and Noah and Keisha’s          daughter, Lynley.  Also surviving is one sister, Nancy A. Renteria and her husband Roger of Danville PA and several nieces and nephews.   

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 6:30 PM from Independent Bible Church of Northumberland 138 Leed Street Northumberland PA (off Route 147 at 8th Street) with the Reverend Eric H. Gearhart officiating.   Burial will be private in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Bible Church of Northumberland PO Box 320 Northumberland PA  17857 or Good News Club, Inc. 51 Oak Road Northumberland PA  17857.
