Malcolm C. West, Jr.

June 10, 2009

Malcolm C. West, Jr., 90, who resided in the Veteranís Home in Hollidaysburg PA and formerly of Selinsgrove PA died Tuesday morning, June 9, 2009 at the Altoona Regional Health Care System in Altoona PA.  He was born July 16, 1918 in Niles, Ohio the son of the late Malcolm C. and Eva Thomas West, Sr.   

He attended Danville Area Schools.  Mr. West served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.  He was a self-employed truck driver.   

 Mr. West was a member of  the Sunbury VFW and the Sunbury Moose. 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald E. West and one sister, Marion L. Lewis.  He is survived by three nieces; Barbara A. Slusser of Lancaster PA ;Dorothy Maize of Lebanon PA and Betty Showers of Danville PA and three nephews; Donald West of Danville PA; Donald Lewis of Denver PA and James Lewis of Nottingham PA.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday June 13 2009 at 11:30 AM from the Visneski Funeral Home Inc 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Dr. Donald N. Hurley St. Peterís United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:30 AM until the time of service. www.visneski.com
