Lucille Dietz


November 19, 2009


Lucille Dietz, 87, of 408 Pine Street Danville PA passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.   She was born October 19, 1922 in Danville PA the daughter of the late C. Earl and Helen Dietz.   

She graduated from Danville High School.  Lucille retired as a seamstress from the Emenee Company in Catawissa PA.  She was an active member of Shiloh United Church of Christ Danville PA where she served for 50 years as the Sunday School Treasurer and was a member of the Golden Agers.  She was a member of the Valley Grange #1184 Danville PA.  An excellent seamstress, one of Lucille’s greatest enjoyments was sewing.  She also enjoyed needlepoint.   

She is survived by one sister, Margaret E. Fox and two nieces; Cindy Peterson and Susan Yeager; one nephew, Gene Fox; all of Newark, Delaware.   

A Celebration of Lucille’s life will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Shiloh United Church of Christ 500 Bloom Street Danville PA with the Reverend David R. Schnaars officiating.  Burial will be private in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 12:30 PM until time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
