Henry "Roy" Reichenbach, Jr.

Henry ďRoyĒ Reichenbach, Jr., 82, of 1202  Bloom Road Danville PA died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at his residence.  He was born March 5, 1927 in Klinesgrove PA the son of the late Henry Roy and Hazel Dyer Reichenbach, Sr. 

He graduated from Danville High School.  He served as a medic in the United States Army during World War II.  He was employed by Bakerís Tire Shop in Northumberland PA, Deitrichís Dairy in Danville PA, Beardyís Tire Shop in Danville PA and at Danville State Hospital in the power plant for 30 years.  He was also a self-employed painter painting many churches, businesses and residences in the Danville area.   

Roy was a member of St. Peterís United Methodist Church Riverside PA.  He was a member of Danville VFW, Danville American Legion, Danville Moose, Danville Elks, Washies Hose Company and the Sonestown American Legion, He was also a 50 year member of Danville-Mahoning Lodge #224 F&AM.   

Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, going on car rides and he enjoyed eating out, especially at Hunterís Dairy Freeze in Danville PA.  He loved Christmas and adored his cat, Ruthie.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. 

He was married for 44 years to the late Miriam ďMimĒ P. VonBlohn Reichenbach who preceded him in death March 30, 1992.  They were married June 27, 1947. 

He is survived by two daughters; Vickie E. Warfield and her husband William of Mifflinburg PA and Marcie D. Grubb and her husband Donald of Danville PA.  Also surviving are four grandchildren; Traci Meany and her husband Joe, Billy Warfield, Rebecca Grubb and Danielle Miller and her husband Mark.  He is also survived by three  great-grandchildren; Brittany, Joey and Owen.  He is also survived by one sister, Jeanie Godec of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers; Franklin and Gordon Reichenbach and five sisters; Edna Appleman, Ruth Stigerwalt, Betty Bankes, Annie Dewald and Helen Reichenbach at age three. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 11:30 AM at St. Peterís United Methodist Church 240 Sunbury Road Riverside PA with his pastor the Reverend Dr. Donald N. Hurley officiating.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 9:45 AM until the time of service at the church.  Danville Lodge #224 F&AM will conduct Masonic services at 9:30 AM at the church.  Military rites will be accorded by the Montour County Veteranís Association.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peterís United Methodist Church PO Box 428 Riverside PA  17868.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
