Dorothy T. Lamonica, 60, of 131 Hart Street, Lot 2 Shamokin PA died
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.
She was born February 4, 1949 in Shamokin PA the daughter of David and
Dorothy Seedor Snyder, Sr. of Coal Township PA.
She was a homemaker and especially enjoyed spending her time with her
grandchildren. Her other enjoyments included holiday decorating, cooking,
playing Bingo and crafting. Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons; Joseph J. Lamonica,
III of Shamokin PA and Christopher Lamonica and his wife Torri of Wildwood
Crest, NJ and one daughter, Karen M. Scheuermann and her husband Joseph of
Paxinos PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Roland Lamonica, Todd
Scheuermann, Shane Gadsby, Christopher Lamonica, Jr., Austyn Lamonica,
Ashley Lamonica and Joshua Lamonica. She is survived by Bob Follette, her
companion of 31 years. She is also survived by two brothers; David
Snyder, Jr. and Gregory Snyder; both of Coal Township PA. Also surviving
are her nephews and several cousins.
friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Wednesday,
February 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Paxinos Bible Church, Montour Road,
Elysburg, PA with Pastor Mark Powlus officiating. Friends will be received
from 12:30 PM until the time of service at the church. Memorial
contributions may be made to Danville SPCA 2801 Bloom Road Danville PA.
