Robin E. Buehner

December 16, 2008

Robin Emily Buehner of Charlene Drive, Danville, PA departed this life at home on December 15, 2008.  She was born on January 3, 1992.  She was a junior at Danville Area High School.

Robin, known for her warm smile and kindness toward others, was a member of the high school tennis team and videographer for the boys’ basketball team.  She had been interested in a career in radiology.  She particularly enjoyed working at Berrigan’s Sub Shop in Bloomsburg for her older sister Mary Jane.  She was selected by her sister to be  Maid of Honor at her recent wedding and glowed radiantly at the wedding.

Her birth was celebrated throughout the Danville Area as she was the first child born in Danville during its Bicentennial Celebration in 1992.  She was featured during the Bicentennial Parade and numerous publications.

Robin is survived by her parents Robert and Alice Buehner and two sisters; Mary Jane Milgram (and husband Mathew Milgram) and Becky Buehner, and grandmother Jane Buehner, all of Danville.  Also surviving are her Aunt Molly M. Decoteau (and husband David), cousins Jacob and Elizabeth; Uncle Jack Buehner (and fiancé Caryl Rae Thomas), cousins Aimee, Megan, Rachel and Johna;  Uncle Walter Hoffman (and wife Pamela) and cousins Kevin and David of Lancaster, PA.  She is survived by her favorite “auntie” Karen Wiig of Napier, New Zealand.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Washingtonville Lutheran Church with Robin’s pastor the Reverend Melody Sell officiating.  Calling at the church will begin at 3:30 pm with the funeral services conducted at 5:30 pm.

The family will provide flowers.  It is requested that those who wish to honor Robin’s memory make a charitable contribution to the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation, 319 Vine Street Berwick PA 18603 for the benefit of a scholarship fund established in her memory.

Robin was an organ donor.  It is the hope of the Buehner Family that others consider becoming organ donors so that others in need will receive a gift of life.

The Visneski Funeral Home, Inc.  of Danville whose proprietors Gary and Conaley Visneski are dear friends of the Buehner Family are assisting them with the arrangements.
