Ralph B. Shepperson, Jr., 75

Ralph B. Shepperson, Jr., 75, of 606 White Hall Road Danville PA died Monday evening November 24, 2008 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  He was born December 22, 1932 in Danville PA the son of the late Ralph B. and Esther VanArt Shepperson, Sr.

He was a member of the Danville High School Class of 1950.  Mr. Shepperson served in the United States Army as a master sergeant and tank commander during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise Burrows Shepperson whom he married May 30, 1953. 

Mr. Shepperson was employed as a manufacturing engineer for several industrial machine tool companies. He was a 45 year member of Medford Lodge #178 F & AM in Medford NJ and a member of the Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Southern NJ.  He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Westmont NJ as well as a member of the Danville Moose.

He enjoyed collecting United States Army paraphernalia.  He also enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales. 

He is survived by two sons; Ralph B. Shepperson, III and his wife Barbara of Paxinos PA and Kurt L. Shepperson of Mount Holly NJ.  Also surviving is one granddaughter Caroline Shepperson and one grandson Jacob Shepperson.  He is also survived by one brother Thomas Shepperson of Hazleton PA and two sisters; Evelyn Bailey of Danville PA and Clara Gustuf of Camp Hill PA.  He was preceded in death by two sisters. 

Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family in The Columbarium at Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
