Helen M. Fausnaught, 85, of 114 Upper Mulberry Street Danville PA where she was born and lived her entire life died Wednesday February 13 2008 at the home of her niece JoAnn Myers.

She was born July 31 1922 in Danville PA the daughter of the late John “Albert” and C. Gertrude Fox Cashner.  She graduated from Danville High School in 1940.  She was employed as a telephone operator for 29 years at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA retiring in 1985.

Mrs. Fausnaught was a born again Christian.  She enjoyed corresponding with her pen-pals, reading, crafting and was a dog and animal lover.

She was married for 41 years to the late Robert S. Fausnaught who preceded her in death August 3 2003.  They were married October 29 1961. 

She was the last member of her immediate family.  She is survived by one step-son John C. Fausnaught, Sr. of Bechtelsville PA and one step-daughter Roberta J. Lucarelli of Reading PA.  Also surviving are seven step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a niece Louise Blue of Bloomsburg PA and several other nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Cashner and two sisters; Dorothy G. Ross and Mary Sterling.  Her companion of four years Carl Hartman of Danville PA also survives.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Saturday February 16 2008 at 1:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Kenneth Force officiating assisted by Rev. Milton McKinney and Rev. Joseph Smith.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Danville SPCA 2801 Bloom Road Danville PA.
