Donald Fabian Vincent, 69

Donald Fabian Vincent, age 69, of 1 Rolling Acres Drive Danville PA concluded his journey in this life on Monday May 26 2008 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.

He had been in ill health for many years. 

Donald was born in Plainfield NJ May 30 1938 the son of the late Fabian Eugene and Dorothy Elizabeth Shallcross Vincent.  He was a 1956 graduate of Jonathon Dayton Regional High School in Springfield NJ.  He continued his education for one year at RCA Institute of Technology in New York City NY.  Donald served with the United States Army Reserves. 

Being a self-starter as Don was, he did many things including prospecting out West, was owner/landlord of an apartment building in Jersey City NJ.  He was also employed at Pabst Blue Ribbon in New Jersey for several years.  His biggest accomplishment was owner/manager of Valley View Motel in Blowing Rock North Carolina for 7 ˝ years with his wife Barbara.  Donald’s hobbies included playing the guitar, working outside, traveling, ice skating, skiing and inventing.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 40 years Barbara Sue Brown Vincent formerly of Wharton NJ.  He is also survived by one daughter, Wende and her husband Randall R. Steele of Catawissa PA and one son Christopher F. Vincent of Danville PA.  Also surviving are two sisters; Elaine Shallcross Cederquist of Chatham NJ and Jacqueline Vincent Jacovino of Summit NJ along with many nieces and nephews.

 A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday June 21 2008 at First Baptist Church 20 Brookside Drive Danville PA.  Burial will be private.  Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
