Betty Lou Nuss, 77

Betty Lou Nuss, 77, of 3735 Point Township Drive Northumberland PA died Saturday May 31 2008 at her residence.  She was born April 15, 1931 in Sunbury PA the daughter of the late George R. and Kathryn Clara Knarr Dockey.

She graduated from Sunbury High School in 1949.  She was employed as a housekeeper by Sunbury Community Hospital retiring in 1996.  Mrs. Nuss was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sunbury PA.  She was a member of the Home Chapter of The Moose and Point Township Fire Company Northumberland PA.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.  She also enjoyed cookouts, playing shuffleboard and Yahtzee. 

She was married for 51 years to the late C. Boyd Nuss who preceded her in death March 25 2006.  They were married July 3, 1954.  She is survived by two daughters; Toni L. Herman and her husband Marshall of Sunbury PA and Kelly J. Webb of Point Township PA.  Also surviving is one grandson Curtis A. Yohey, Jr. and his fiancée Mandy Morgan of Bloomsburg PA.  She is also survived by one great-grandson Curtis A. Yohey, III along with many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother G. Marvin Dockey and her twin sister Bernice Barsh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Thursday June 5 2008 at 11:00 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park Stonington PA.  Friends will be received Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM and from 10:00 AM until time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to SUN Home Health Hospice 61 Duke Street PO Box 232 Northumberland PA 17857.
