William J. Ebling, 99

William J. Ebling, 99, of 309 Avenue C Riverside PA died Friday January 18 2008 at his residence.  He was born September 9 1908 in Riverside PA the son of the late Frank S. and Harriet Bent Ebling, Sr. 

He graduated from Danville High School.  He was employed as a welder for 33 years by Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Steelton PA where he retired in 1973. 

Mr. Ebling was a life member of the Danville Moose.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Emily M. Riley Ebling whom he married May 9 1952.  He is also survived by two sons; Craig F. Ebling of Enola PA and William J. “Skip” Ebling, II of Riverside PA and two daughters; Ann L. Neubaum of Hummelstown PA and Susan L. Lippert and her husband Mervin of Halifax PA.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.  Preceding him in death were three brothers; Frank S. Ebling, Jr.; Charles Ebling and Ralph T. Ebling and one sister Elizabeth Mottern. 

Funeral services will be held Monday January 21 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Michael A. Greenauer Trinity Lutheran Church Danville PA officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
