Raymond E. Hauck, 87, formerly of 305 Campbell Corner Danville PA where he
had resided since 1992 died Tuesday evening November 6 2007 at Riverwoods
Campus Lewisburg PA where he had been a guest for the past four years. He
moved from Beaver Township Columbia County where he had resided for 40
years. He was born December 1 1919 in Main Township Columbia County the son
of the late Harry and Hattie Knecht Hauck.
Hauck graduated from West Hazelton High School in 1938. He served as an
electricianís mate 1st Class with the United States Navy during
World War II. Mr. Hauck was an electrician for many construction projects in
the region and was a member of the IBEW Union Local 163 of Wilkes-Barre PA
for more than 60 years. He was a member of St. Paulís Emmanuel United
Methodist Church Danville PA and a former member of St. Peterís Lutheran
Church in Beaver Township Columbia County PA. He was a 50 year member of
Catawissa Lodge #349 F&AM and of the Caldwell Consistory Bloomsburg PA. Mr.
Hauck was a past exalted ruler of BPOE Bloomsburg Lodge #436 and a member of
VFW Post 8061 Conyngham PA. He enjoyed gardening and was a part-time farmer
while residing in Beaver Township.
He was preceded in
death by his wife of 62 years the late Thelma M. Thomas Hauck whom he
married June 15
1941. He is survived by his daughter Claire A. Huntington and son-in-law
Ronald W. of Danville PA. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Tracie
Huntington and one grandson, Matthew Huntington. He was preceded in death
by three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 10 2007 at 11:30 AM from St.
Peterís Lutheran & UCC Church Beaver Valley Road Bloomsburg with the
Reverend Judy Wadsworth and the Reverend Jerome W. Haupt, III, Chaplain of
Riverwoods in Lewisburg PA officiating. Burial will follow in Hargerís
Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Visneski
Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA and also from 10:30
until the time of service at the church.
