Keith Tyler, 53

July 27, 2007

Keith Tyler, 53, of 189 North Mill Road Potts Grove PA had his ultimate healing Friday July 27, 2007 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  He was born June 19 1954 in Glens Falls New York the son of the Reverend Floyd and Helen Conklin Tyler of West Chazy NY and Nashville TN. 

He attended school in Hague, Lisbon and Malone New York.  Keith graduated from Houghton College in Houghton New York with a music degree in 1977.  He was the Minister of Music at Sussex Wesleyan Church Sussex New Brunswick Canada, Moncton Wesleyan Church Moncton New Brunswick Canada and Spring Street Wesleyan Church Fort Wayne Indiana.  Keith also served as Minister of Music at Christ Wesleyan Church Milton PA from 1992 until 2000.  He was presently serving on staff with Creative Arts at Christ Wesleyan. Keith also instructed many students with private piano lessons.   He will be especially remembered for his excellent keyboard talent, ministering to many hearts on Sunday morning and other church services.  Keith’s favorite scripture verse was from Isaiah 26: 3, 4 which says, “You will keep in perfect peace Him whose mind is steadfast because He trusts in you.  Trust in the Lord forever, for the LORD, the LORD is the Rock eternal.” 

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife of 28 years Priscilla Dayton Tyler whom he married July 14 1979, his daughter Mary Tyler and his son Samuel Tyler; all of whom he dearly loved.  He is also survived by three brothers; Gary Tyler and his wife Barbara of Angelica NY and Ana Maria Florida; Cal Tyler and his wife Irene of Camp Hill PA and Jake “Buck” Tyler and his wife Debbi of Oswego NY and one sister Jacki Henry and her husband Dr. Doug Henry of Nashville TN.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Keith is also survived by his father-in-law Paul Dayton of Corinth NY and was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Ruth Carter Dayton.   

A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held Sunday July 29 2007 at 3:30 PM at the Family Life Center of Christ Wesleyan Church 363 Stamm Road Milton PA with his pastor the Reverend Arlie E. Davis officiating assisted by the support staff of the church.  Burial will be private.  Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until 3:15 PM in the Prayer Chapel of the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Christ Wesleyan Church 363 Stamm Road Milton PA 17847.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
