E. Mae DeSantis

E. Mae DeSantis, 90, formerly of 624 E Front Street Danville PA died Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2007 at Bloomsburg Health Care Center Bloomsburg PA where she had resided for the past 2 years.  She was born April 18 1917 in Riverside PA the daughter of the late Frank Roat and Mary Dorothy Welliver Oberdorf. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1935.  She was employed as an inspector for TRW and Textron of Danville PA where she retired in 1987. 

 Mae was a member of the Valley Grange, Women of the Moose and TRW Old Guard; all of Danville PA.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing both Bingo and cards.  She was of the Methodist faith.

 She was married to the late Alfred D. DeSantis who preceded her in death February 2, 1950.  She is survived by one son, Alfred D. DeSantis, Jr. and his wife Beatrice of Danville PA and four daughters:  Betty Ann Huber and her husband Charles of Danville PA; Carol J. Lewis and her husband Dennis of Bloomsburg PA; Gloria D. Young and her husband Keith of Bloomsburg PA and Barbara K. White and her husband Robert of Bloomsburg PA.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one brother Jay Oberdorf and one sister Florence Zucker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Dennis W. Derr Trinity United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 12 noon until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Bloomsburg Health Care Center 211 E 1st Street Bloomsburg PA  17815.  www.visneski.com
