William G. Campbell, 89

January 7, 2007

William G. Campbell, 89, 308 Clinton Street Danville PA died Friday, January 5, 2007 at Grandview Health Homes Danville PA.  He was born May 26, 1917 in Columbia PA the son of the late William and Olive Steinman Campbell. 

He served in the United States Navy during World War II.  Mr. Campbell was employed by TRW Danville PA where he retired in 1979.  He was a life member of the Danville American Legion Post 40.  He was a member of the Catawissa VFW and the Catawissa Boat Club.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Ruth Clara Keefer Campbell whom he married August 13, 1938.  He is also survived by one son, William B. Campbell and daughter-in-law Jane C. of Danville PA and one daughter Betty Jane Coira and son-in-law Henry III “Butch” of Danville PA.  Also surviving are four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Boyd and John Campbell and one sister Gussie Landau.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Elan Memorial Park 5595 Old Berwick Road Bloomsburg PA with the Reverend Michael A. Greenauer Trinity Lutheran Church Danville PA officiating  Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM Wednesday at the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  Military rites will be accorded by Montour County Veterans Association.
