Thomas Michael Tapscott, 66, of 4 Thistle Way Danville PA died Monday August 7, 2006 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  He was born November 20, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana the son of the late Raymond T. and Dorothea L. Lambert Tapscott. 

He graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and also from the University of Cincinnati in 1962 receiving his Bachelorís in Business Administration.

He served as a commissioned officer as a lieutenant in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Tapscott was a member of the Grove Presbyterian Church Danville PA. 

He was employed for 37 years in the healthcare industry; most recently serving as Program Director for Geisinger Health System.

He is survived by his wife Barbara M. Prada Tapscott whom he married November 21, 1992.  Also surviving is one son T. Kevin Tapscott and his wife Tammy of Boston, Massachusetts and one daughter Kathleen Ledonne and her husband Alexander of Atlanta, Georgia.  He is also survived by two step-daughters Barbara Alfaro and Jennifer Castro both of Miami FL.  Also surviving are four step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 1:00pm at the Grove Presbyterian Church, 300 Bloom Street Danville PA with his pastor the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews officiating.  Friends will be received from noon until the time of service in the Great Room at the church. Inurnment will be with full military honors in the Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington VA .  Memorial Contributions may be made to either American Cancer Society, Montour Unit, 1948 E. 3rd St.  Williamsport, PA 17701-3945 or Geisinger Hematology/Oncology Department, Danville, PA 17822.
