Franklin Neely, 77, of 5370 Las Verdes Circle, Delray Beach, FL passed away
Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at his home where he resided since 2000. Born in
Shamokin,PA on April 17, 1928 he was the son of the late Arthur and Lillian
Neely graduated in 1946 from Shamokin High School. He served in the Armed
Forces in Europe following WW II. He was a salesman for a trucking
transportation company. Mr. Neely was an active member of Coral Ridge
Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
preceded in death by his wife Dorotohy J. (Hill) Neely whom he married on
February 17, 1952 in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Overlook PA.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and James Garvin of
Tallahassee, FL and LuAnn and Bruce DiSarle of Boca Raton, FL; three
grandchildren Jamie Lynne Garvin and Matthew and Mikayla DiSarle; two
sisters-in-law, Anne Neely of Shamokin, PA and Mrs. Freeman (Nancy) Betz
wife of Elysburg, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday June 24, 2006 at 3:00 PM from the
Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Overlook, PA with Pastor Nelson Alleman
officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 PM until the time of
service at the church. A dinner reception will follow at Masserís
Restaurant in Paxinos PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Keenagers
