Pearl E. Wasko, 86, of 6247 Ditman Street Philadelphia PA died Thursday, August 10, 2006 in the Chapel Manor Nursing Home in Northeast Philadelphia.  She was born August 1, 1920 in Danville PA the daughter of the late William R. and Catherine M. Wertman Gable. 

She attended Danville Schools.  She was employed as a seamstress in the Philadelphia area.  She enjoyed crafts and visiting with her friends at her Senior Citizenís Center in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Wasko was married to the late George M. Wasko who died in 1963.

She is survived by a sister Ruth E. Stankevich of Riverside PA and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Wasko is also survived by her daughter-in-law Ethel Gable of Philadelphia.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Carmen Gable and two brothers James and Gilbert Gable.  She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Grace Kolenda, Mary Nuss and Darlis Gable in infancy. 

A Requiem Mass will be held Saturday, August 26th at 1:00 PM at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church Pine and East Market Streets Danville PA with the Reverend Frank A. Edmands officiating.  Burial will follow in the Episcopal Cemetery Danville PA. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
