Margaret Jane Stine, 92

Margaret Jane Stine, 92, formerly of 238 E Avenue Mount Carmel PA died Wednesday evening August 9 2006 at the Citizen’s Nursing Home in Frederick Maryland where she had been a guest since October 2001.  She was born December 24 1913 in Mount Carmel PA the daughter of the late Richard Charles and Martha Nichols Yarnell Stine. 

Miss Stine was also a resident at Vintage Knolls Assisted Living in Danville PA before moving to Maryland. 

She graduated from Mount Carmel High School where she was valedictorian at her high school graduation.  She graduated from Kutztown College.  Miss Stine taught elementary school in the Mount Carmel School District and later taught 1st Grade at the Drumheller Elementary School in the Shikellamy School District where she retired. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Carmel PA. 

She is survived by one niece Peggy J. Stine and one nephew Edward C. Stine, Jr. who both reside in Gaithersburg Maryland.  She was preceded in death by her brother Edward C. “Ned” Stine, Sr. on September 13, 2001. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday August 12 2006 at 11:00 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery with the Reverend Jim McNair officiating.  There will be no viewing.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
