Lydia Magill Shuck, 81

Lydia Magill Shuck, 81, formerly of Selinsgrove PA and Sunbury PA died Tuesday morning, September 19, 2006 at Nottingham Village Northumberland PA.  She was born August 5, 1925 in Danville PA the daughter of the late John T. and Jessie Davis Magill. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1943 and was also a graduate of Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg PA.  She was employed at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA and by the former Brookside Racquet Club in Selinsgrove PA. 

Mrs. Shuck was a lifetime member of Grove Presbyterian Church Danville PA.  The greatest passions of her life were spending time with her family and playing Bridge.  She also enjoyed Penn State football, gardening and watching two of her grandchildren play tennis. 

She is survived by two daughters; Ellen Bailey and her husband Randy of Selinsgrove PA and Ann Burke and her husband Dennis of Fallbrook, California.  The greatest joy of her life were her four grandchildren; Tara Maurer and her husband Joseph of Selinsgrove, PA; Jason Bailey and his wife Danielle of Lorton VA; Tara Burke and Allan Burke; both of Fallbrook, California and her two great-grandchildren; Skylar and Max Maurer of Selinsgrove PA.  She is also survived by one brother John T. Magill of Riverside PA.  She was preceded in death by one brother Thomas D. Magill on September 1, 1993. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Grove Presbyterian Church 330 Bloom Street Danville PA with her pastor the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews officiating.  Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the Great Room at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grove Presbyterian Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
