Louise A. Roeder,
89, of 70 D & H Avenue Riverside PA died Saturday morning October 21, 2006
at her residence. She was born August 18, 1917 in Snydertown PA the
daughter of the late John S. and Lillian Crowl Enterline.
graduated from Danville Area School in 1935. She was a skilled seamstress
making clothing for her children and grandchildren and was also employed by
Lynn Dress Company in Riverside PA. She was a Dutchmaid Party
Representative for many years. She was a member of St. Peter’s United
Methodist Church Riverside PA. Mrs. Roeder was also a member of the
Riverside Senior Action Center for many years formerly serving as Secretary
She loved playing
cards, especially pinochle, and was actively involved in several card clubs.
She enjoyed cooking and also enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She
was married for 56 years to the late James P. “Tater” Roeder, Sr. who
preceded her in death October 8, 1996.
Mrs. Roeder is
survived by one son; James P. Roeder, Jr.and daughter-in-law Toni of Rancho
Cordova CA and two daughters; Joanne Faust and son-in-law Fred and Jean
Oberdorf and son-in-law Joseph, both of Riverside, PA. Also surviving are
five grandchildren; Christine Coleman, Janae Krum, Joseph Todd Oberdorf,
James P. Roeder, III and Aaron Roeder and eight great-grandchildren; Graham,
Garrett, Jacob, Tessa, Mina, Kade, Jenika and Zane. She is also survived
by one brother; John S. Enterline of Sunbury PA and one sister; Geraldine F.
Seidler of Riverside PA. She was preceded in death by one brother Gerald F.
“Spud” Enterline in 1999.
will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Visneski
Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend David
J. Mouw, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Danville PA officiating.
Burial will follow
in Elan Memorial Park Lime Ridge, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00
AM until the time of service. The family will provide flowers.
