James H. Shade, 77

James H. Shade, 77, of 255 Stump Road Danville PA died Tuesday morning, February 27, 2007 at Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall Danville PA.  He was born January 13, 1930 in Danville PA the son of the late Samuel B. and Alice Pope Shade.

He graduated from Danville High School in 1948.  Mr. Shade was self-employed in earlier years as a trainer for hunting dogs.  He also was self-employed for many years as a wholesale food distributor in central Pennsylvania and also as a land developer.  Mr. Shade was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ in Danville PA

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Janet L. Wintersteen Shade whom he married November 19, 1955.  He is also survived by one son Richard F. Shade of Danville PA and two daughters; Kathleen S. Iacobucci and her husband Michael of Phoenixville PA and Suzanne W. Waddell of Ephrata PA.  Also surviving are four granddaughters.  He is also survived by two sisters; Rebecca Mignot of Danville PA and Elizabeth Ritchie of Northumberland PA.  He was preceded in death by two brothers; Howard P. Shade and Samuel “Jake” Shade and one sister Janice Roberson.

Funeral services will be held Monday March 5, 2007 at 2:00 PM from Shiloh United Church of Christ 500 Bloom Road Danville PA with his pastor the Reverend Brian E. Cope officiating assisted by the Reverend Stephen G. Shirk First Presbyterian Church of Milton PA.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to either Shiloh United Church of Christ or Columbia Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 10 Bloomsburg PA  17815. Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
