Earl D. Mordan, 75

Earl D. Mordan, Sr., 75, of RR#1 Sunbury PA died Friday November 3, 2006 in the Emergency Room of Sunbury Community Hospital Sunbury PA.  He was born July 11, 1931 in Danville PA the son of the late J. Earl and Hazel Kline Mordan. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1949 and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Mordan retired in 1990 as a supervisor for PP&L in Northumberland PA.  He was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ Sunbury PA.  He was a member of the Danville Elks, Danville Moose and Danville VFW Post 298 and numerous fire companies. Mr. Mordan was a Past Master in 1961 and a 50 year member of the Danville-Mahoning Lodge # 224 F&AM.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting and was a founding member of EDJROTH Rod and Gun Club.   

Mr. Mordan is survived by his wife Mary Jane Hunsinger Mordan whom he married January 20, 1968.  He is also survived by five sons; Earl D. “Skip” Mordan, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Bloomsburg PA; Mark S. Mordan and his wife Bonnie of Bloomsburg PA; Charles K. Malone and his wife Jami of Sunbury PA; Patrick K. Malone and his wife MaryBeth of Northumberland PA and Kevin M. Malone of Richmond VA and three daughters; Mary H. Engle and her husband Samuel of Sunbury PA; Robin E. Rebuck and her husband David of Northumberland PA and Sherry Dunkelberger of Sunbury PA.  He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers; Gerald Mordan and his wife Joyce of New York and James Mordan and his wife Connie of Danville and one sister Joan Brady of Danville PA.  He was preceded in death by one brother Raymond Mordan and one sister Dolly Holdren.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Shiloh Reformed Cemetery Danville PA with his pastor the Reverend Jonathan P. Albright officiating.  The cemetery is adjacent to St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery on Old Bloom Road Danville PA where parking will be available. There will be no public viewing.  Danville- Mahoning Lodge #224 F&AM will conduct a Graveside Masonic service at 1:50 PM.
