Beatrice G. Bostian, 85

January 25, 2007

Beatrice G. Bostian, 85, of 912 Sunbury Road Danville PA died Thursday morning, January 25 2007 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville PA.  She was born March 29, 1921 in Montandon PA the daughter of the late Charles C. and Mary E. Bridge Snyder. 

A dedicated homemaker her entire life, her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Beatrice also enjoyed NASCAR, monster trucks, antique tractor pulls and doing word search puzzles. 

She was married to Thomas H. Bostian, Sr. for 46 years whom she married November 8, 1941 who preceded her in death May 31, 1988. 

Beatrice is survived by two sons; Thomas H. Bostian, Jr. and his wife Maudell and Walter G. Bostian, Sr. and his wife Vickie; both of Danville PA.  She is also survived by four daughters; Ida Mae Straub and her husband Calvin of Danville PA; Betty A. Styer and her husband Robert of Danville PA; Frances B. Bostian at home and Alice K Brobst of Bloomsburg PA.  Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren and 12 step-great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers William R., Lawrence C., Robert L. and Donald L. Snyder and three sisters; Irene Aikey, Mary K. Ross and Esther E. Andrews.  She was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, two step-grandsons and one step-great grandson.   

Funeral services will be held Monday January 29 2007 at 10:00 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Craig D. Laidacker Bloomsburg Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received Sunday evening from 7-9 PM and from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Columbia Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815.
