Ellen M. Seitz, 94, formerly of 121 Alton Street Danville PA where she resided until 2000 and also of Vintage Knolls Danville PA died Thursday morning, June 1, 2006 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  She was born July 30, 1911 in Danville PA the daughter of the late Walter and Ida Price Pennington. 

Mrs. Seitz graduated from Orangeville High School and from the Danville State Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1932.  She was employed as a registered nurse for 44 years at Danville State Hospital where she retired.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading.  She was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ Danville PA.

She was married for 66 years to the late Charles R. “Chick” Seitz, Jr.  who preceded her in death February 11, 2001.  She is survived by one son Klair A. Seitz and daughter-in-law Marlene Latzman of Catawissa PA and one daughter Cheryl S. Deitz and son-in-law  J. Leonard of Duncannon PA.  Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister Lois I. Fritz of Berwick PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by one brother Clarence “Skip” Pennington.   

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with her pastor the Reverend Brian E. Cope officiating.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Church of Christ Memorial Fund 500 Bloom Street Danville PA.
