Prosser, 86, formerly of 129 McCracken Road Danville PA where she had
resided until July 2003 died Thursday evening, December 29, 2005 at Emmanuel
Center at Maria Joseph Manor Danville PA. She was born March 2, 1919 in
Danville PA the daughter of the late Mark T. and Anna M. Murray Roberts, Sr.
She graduated from
Danville High School in 1936. Mrs. Prosser was an original member of St.
Johnís United Church of Christ of Mausdale, PA. She was employed from 1936
to 1950 as a secretary to Mr. Fred Diehl, Superintendent of Danville
Schools. She also was employed by Merck and Company from 1950 to 1957 as a
secretary. She was also employed as a secretary by the Department of Public
Welfare where she retired in 1986.
In 1957 she
married Frederick A. Prosser who preceded her in death May 13 1969. She is
survived by a stepson David Prosser and his wife Betty of Watertown New York
and two step-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother George M.
Roberts and his wife Jean of Danville PA and nieces and nephews. In
addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers Mark T.
Roberts, Jr., Lawrence E. Roberts and William L. Roberts.
services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the Visneski
Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with Reverend Paul W.
Cope officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.
Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
