Florine M. Buckley,
98, a lifelong Danville area resident died Friday evening, July 8, 2005
at Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville, PA. She was born August 5, 1906
in Waller, PA the daughter of the late Cyrus L. and Barbara Everhart Savage.
Mrs. Buckley was a
member of First Baptist Church Danville, PA where she was also a member of
the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a past matron of the Danville
Order of Eastern Star #186. Mrs. Buckley was a homemaker who enjoyed
crocheting, quilting, sewing, knitting, cooking and growing flowers.
She was married to
the late Coleman G. Buckley who died December 23, 1982. She is survived by
three sons; Gerald C. Buckley of Danville, PA; George E. Buckley and
daughter-in-law Carol of Danville, PA and Duane G. Buckley and
daughter-in-law Louise of Riverside, PA and one daughter, Gloria B.
Schaeffer and son-in-law Frederick of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is also
survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by one brother Gerald A. Savage of Danville, PA. She was preceded
in death by one son, Marvin Buckley in 1991 and an infant daughter,
Elizabeth M. Buckley. Mrs. Buckley was also preceded in death by three
brothers Cyrus Savage, Carl Savage and John Savage.
services will be held Wednesday, July 13th at 11:00 AM from the
Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA with her
pastor the Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating assisted by the
Reverend David J. Mouw. The Reverend Judson S. Bennett of Mahoning
Presbyterian Church Danville, PA will also be officiating. Burial will
follow in Elan Memorial Park Old Berwick Road Bloomsburg, PA. Friends will
be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service. At the family’s
request, memorial contributions may be made to Mahoning Presbyterian Church
Steeple Fund 106 E Mahoning Street Danville, PA 17821 or the First Baptist
Church Memorial Fund 20 Brookside Drive Danville, PA.
