William E. Brobst, 65

William E. Brobst, 65, of 2608 Old Berwick Road Bloomsburg, PA  passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 15th 2005.  He was born November 11, 1939 in Catawissa, PA the youngest son of the late William Eugene Brobst and the late Mary Olive Yeager Brobst George. 

Mr. Brobst served in the United States Army National Guard and the US Army.  He was employed as a truck driver by numerous area trucking companies.  He was a member of the Bloomsburg Baptist Church and the Espy Fire Company.  Mr. Brobst enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed Nascar racing, especially Mark Martin and was an avid John Wayne fan. 

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Alice Bostian Brobst and four daughters; Terry Lynn Hoagland and son-in-law Fred of Louisville, KY, Lisa Shafer and her fiancé Kirby Collett of Mifflinville, PA; Billie Jo Stine and son-in-law Douglas of Danville, PA and Kayleen Brobst, at home and one son Mark Edward Brobst of Middleburg, PA.  Also surviving are two step-children; Jennie Burkland of Espy, PA and James Burkland and his wife Wendy of Espy, PA.  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  One brother, James Brobst of Catawissa, PA also survives him.  In addition he is survived by his mother-in-law Beatrice Bostian of Riverside, PA and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a son Adam W. Brobst in August of 1975 and two brothers; Charles and Ronald Brobst. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA with his pastor Craig D. Laidacker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery Catawissa, PA.  Friends will be received Monday evening from 7-9 PM and also from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Military honors will be accorded by The Combined VFW-American Legion Honor Guard.  Memorial contributions may be made to Columbia-Montour Hospice 599 E 7th Street Bloomsburg, PA 17815.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc.
