I. Walter Hagenbuch, 95, of 575 McCracken Road Danville, PA died Sunday afternoon, September 25, 2005 at Emmanuel Center at Maria Joseph Manor Danville, PA.  He was born January 9, 1910 in Liberty Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania the eldest of four children of the late Israel and Minnie Keefer Hagenbuch. 

He was a self-employed dairy farmer and a State Farm insurance agent for 52 years retiring in 1990.   Mr. Hagenbuch was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Danville, PA where he served as trustee.   He was also a 50 year member of  Danville –Mahoning Lodge #224 F & AM of Danville, PA and a 50 year member of Caldwell Consistory Bloomsburg, PA.  During his lifetime he served on the Danville Area School Board and  served on the Valley Township Sewer Authority. 

Mr. Hagenbuch adored his family and the times spent with them.  He also enjoyed woodworking. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Grace P. Wertman Hagenbuch whom he married June 2, 1938.   He is also survived by two daughters; Joanne Griffith and son-in-law Mark of Pearl River, NY and  Dorothy Bane and son-in-law Burton of Danville, PA. He is survived by three grandchildren; Monica Root of Danville, PA, Alison McIndoe of Millersville, PA and Brett McIndoe of New Brunswick, NJ,  3 step-grandchildren and  6 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one sister; Julia C. Hagenbuch of Danville, PA and he was preceded in death by two brothers; Andrew Hagenbuch in 1987 and Bruice Hagenbuch in 2002. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 11:00 AM from Trinity Lutheran Church East Market and Church Streets Danville, PA with the Reverend Michael A. Greenauer officiating assisted by Chaplain Gary Emrick of Columbia Montour Home Hospice.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Friends will be received 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church E Market and Church Street Danville, PA,  Columbia Montour Home Hospice 599 E 7th Street Bloomsburg, PA  17815 or Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery PO Box 181 Washingtonville, PA 17884.
