Marshall Charles Fetterman, 70

September 27, 2004

Marshall Charles Fetterman, 70 of 65 High Road, Mayberry Township, Montour County Catawissa, PA died Monday morning, September 27, 2004 at his home.   

He was born November 13, 1933 in Franklin Township, Columbia County, the son of the late Lorenzo and Mildred Fahringer Fetterman.  

He graduated from Catawissa High School in 1951.   He was a farmer all his life and also worked for Cabinet Industries in Danville for 32 years, retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed hunting and woodworking.  He was named the Outstanding Conservation Cooperator for Montour County in 1987.

Mr. Fetterman was a faithful and active member of St. Johnís (Voughtís) Lutheran Church, Mayberry Township, Montour County.  He served as the Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer, Sexton and was a Council Member.

He was married for 51 years to Elizabeth L. Rainier, whom he married June 20, 1953.  He is survived by son,  Franklin L, Fetterman and his wife Helen of Clayville, NY; son, Marvin Fetterman and his wife Cheryl of North Syracuse, NY; daughter, Rose M. Sheaffer and her husband Charles of Pottstown, PA; and son, Ricky L. Fetterman and his wife Donna of Milton, PA. 

Mr. Fetterman is survived by 12 grandchildren, granddaughter, Regina Craig and her husband Jason, grandson, Douglas Fetterman & his wife Jessica, and grandson, Russell Fetterman.  Also surviving are grandsons, Jeremy and Jacob Fetterman and granddaughter, Ashley Fetterman, grandson, Eric Sheaffer and granddaughter April Sheaffer, grandsons, Caleb, Aaron, Jonathan and Joel Fetterman.  He is also survived by a great-grandson, Alexander Craig.  Mr. Fetterman is survived by his brother, Norman Fetterman of Catawissa.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. St. Johnís (Voughtís) Lutheran Church 29 High Road, Mayberry Township, Danville, PA with Vicar Christoph Teille officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  Family will provide flowers.   Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johnís Lutheran Church.  Friends will be received Wednesday 6:00 Ė 9:00 p.m. at the church and also from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
