John R. Renno, 80

John R. Renno, 80, went to be with his Lord Sunday November 14, 2004 at RiverWoods Lewisburg, PA.  He was born July 9, 1924 in Belleville, Mifflin County, PA the son of the late John B. and Mollie E. Peachey Renno.  He moved to Luzerne County in 1957 and to the Danville area in 1970.  From Danville, he moved to Montandon, PA in August 1992 and had been a resident of Emmanuel Home in Northumberland, PA. 

Mr. Renno was a self-employed farmer and truck driver retiring in 1990.  He was a member of Ridgeview Evangelical Free Church Northumberland, PA.  He enjoyed Bible studies, writing Bible commentaries and conversing with people. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Salina M. Peachey whom he married November 29, 1945.  He is also survived by four sons; Daniel P. Renno and his wife Fay of Danville, PA;  Joseph J. Renno and his wife Darlene of Souderton, PA; William L. and his wife Sharon of Danville, PA and Timothy P. and his wife Judith of Milton, PA and  one daughter, Irene M. Lepley and her husband David of Carlisle, PA, twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  A sister, Malinda Peachey of Belleville, PA also survives him.  Three infant children preceded Mr. Renno in death.  Five brothers, Joshua, Crist, David, Jonas and Eli Renno and two sisters, Mary Swarey and Nancy Yoder also preceded him in death. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM from the Sunbury Bible Church Rt. 11 Northumberland, PA with Pastor John Patti of the Ridgeview Evangelical Free Church. 

Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-6 PM and from 7-9 PM at the church and also from 9:30 AM Thursday until the time of service at the church. 

A second service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM from the Locust Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville, PA.  Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Mennonite Cemetery in Belleville, PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Emmanuel Home 800 Priestly Avenue Northumberland, PA  17857.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA.
