Elizabeth J. Wintersteen, 96

November 20, 2004

Elizabeth J. Wintersteen, 96, of 419 Avenue E Riverside, PA died Friday morning November 19, 2004 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville, PA.  She was born March 2, 1908 in Riverside, PA the daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth Berger Kinn. 

She graduated from Danville High School.  Mrs. Wintersteen retired as a secretary for the Danville Area School District where she was employed for 25 years.  She enjoyed writing poetry, some of which were published by local newspapers.  Mrs. Wintersteen also enjoyed oil painting. 

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth A. Killgore with whom she resided, three granddaughters; Ann L. Ploppert, June E. Pronman and Kimberly J. Killgore and one grandson Harry T. Mankoski, Jr.; five great grandchildren; Jason Ploppert; Ryan, Joel and Teanna Mankoski and Page Killgore.  She was preceded in death by one brother Jacob B. “Jake” Kinn in 2002 and three sisters; Anna E. Kinn in 1970; Hazel Foust in 1980 and Harriet Foust in 1997. 

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA.
