Charles M. Scheetz, 86, of 444 Logan Run Road, Rush Township, Northumberland County, Danville, PA died Saturday evening, August 28, 2004 at Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville, PA.  He was born July 19, 1918 in Harrisburg, PA the son of the late William E. and Esther E. Walburn Scheetz.

Mr. Scheetz was a self-employed farmer. He  was also a truck driver for the former Clarks Poultry and Meat Company of Paxinos, PA for 26 years.  He was a member of Rush Baptist Church Danville, PA where he had served as a deacon for many years.  He was also the constable for Rush Township for many years.  Mr. Scheetz was a member of the Dairymenís League for over forty years.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Regina M. Dowd Scheetz whom he married September 5, 1942.  He is also survived by two sons; Robert C.Scheetz, Sr. and his wife Joyce of RR1 Paxinos, PA and Paul E. Scheetz and his wife Tammy of Danville, PA and two daughters; Shirley M. Bordner and her husband Donald G. and Mary A. Zubowicz and her husband Peter J., both of Danville, PA.; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  Mr. Scheetz was preceded in death by one grandson, Captain Robert C. Scheetz, Jr. on May 31, 2004 and a brother, Darvin B. Scheetz on December 14, 1984. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the Rush Baptist Church 395 Rushtown Road Danville, PA with his pastor the Reverend Hugh C. Coulbourn, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Rush Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the Captain Robert C.
