Frank A. McChesney

Frank A. McChesney, 81, of 704 Sunbury Road Riverside, PA where he has resided for the past 15 years died early Saturday morning, April 5, 2003,  at the Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville, PA.  He was born April 22, 1921 in West Orange, New Jersey the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Dalrymple McChesney.  Before moving to Riverside, PA he lived in West Orange, New Jersey; Montclair, New Jersey and Madison, New Jersey.

He graduated from West Orange High School in 1940.  He served in Air Force during World War II.  He was employed as a salesman inspector for the E. W. Saybolt and Company in Elizabeth, New Jersey  where he retired in 1987.  He was also employed as a policeman while he lived in Montclair, New Jersey.   He enjoyed sports, playing both baseball and basketball.  He was an avid golfer. 

Mr. McChesney is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice A. Jakotowicz whom he married February 15, 1947.  He is also survived by one daughter Nancy M. Granger of Bath, Ohio and four grandsons; Eric, Joseph, Peter and John.  Also surviving is one brother, Walter E. McChesney of West Orange, New Jersey. 

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller-Visneski Funeral Home 10 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA.
